Bharat Sarma was raised and received his education in India.

Bharat focuses on leading investments and portfolio companies in Singapore and India. He has nearly 15 years of experience across management consulting, corporate and investing roles. Prior to Navis, he was an Investment Director with Axiom Asia Private Capital leading and closing investment opportunities in Asia. Before Axiom, he had two stints in management consulting as part of the senior team at Bain & Company, New York and at Booz Allen Hamilton in New York and Mumbai. He advised private equity, financial services and telecom clients on business strategy, growth opportunities, and M&A. Bharat was a Vice President with GE Capital in New York and New Delhi, managing a business and leading deals with financial services companies.

Bharat holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a B.Tech., Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
